second for the day. a record.

tonight was great. it is our last night at 1364 sir david drive. our last night in the heights. *sniff* tomorrow we will be living in our condo. craziness! tonight we took advantage of our front yard, sidewalk and street: my brothers were playing cricket while i rode my bike around, then i gave in and decided to play cricket too. let me tell ya, i'm a natural- the chanderpaul of canada, haha. (you'll get it if you follow windies cricket haha). it was so much fun, i felt like we were small again, when we used to play outside in the summer. seems like those days were so long ago, but not so long ago at the same time - if that makes any sense. we were out there for a good hour and a half to two hours, man it was fun.

this whole moving thing has been an experience. i mean, we've moved before, but this one is different, knowing that we are all going our separate ways, living independent lives, experiencing new things alone. leaving this house is ending an era of our lives, but moving into our new place is giving us a fresh start, allowing us to use what we learned and experienced at this house as a foundation for our lives in the future. it's amazing. God has been faithful throughout it all, and we know He continues to be with us as we live our lives..!

the next few weeks will be interesting as we settle and adjust to our new place. the weirdest part about moving is waking up the first day in your new room - the first reaction is usually a groggy "huh??" i'll let you know how that goes. :) you guys will get an email soon with the details - new address and phone number. as for me, for now, i must finish studying for my exam on tuesday. in a few hours i will crawl into my bed and sleep my last night in this house.

it's been a good run, 1364. nine amazing years. posse out. for real this time.

reunited...

...with my bike and it feels so good :) my dad sent it in to cyclepath to get the inner tubes and brakes changed - i haven't ridden my bike in years. until yesterday. whoo, i'm lovin it! i'm such a car person, clearly the only way to get around oakville:) but yes, it was good to get back on the bike seat and take it for a spin. and it is true - you never forget how to ride a bike. i'm taking it up with me to kingston this year so i can ride to school when the weather permits. with those wheels i'll get there in no time! looking forward to it.

today is our last day at our house in oakville. tomorrow we say good bye to the heights, to 1364 sir david drive. i'm glad we're not moving far away from oakville. have no fear, our condo is near! haha :) and after the move tomorrow, it's off to conquer my 332 exam. waste management is mine! muah haha. after the exam, it's time to reeeee-lax. and unpack the many boxes that will be in our condo. then, it's off to quebec for a few days with the fam! and before i know it i will be back in kingston getting ready for school. how time flies. it's amazing.

aiight this is where i posse out and get back to the books. lates peeps.

been a while

hey folk, i figured it was a while since i was last on here so i might as well post something. summer's been moving along quite quickly, before i know it i'll be back in kingston in good old mac-corry sitting in a classroom. i went to taste of the danforth this past weekend with my brother, mom and her friend - it was goooood times. we went on friday night - the street was lively and the food was delicious. the baclava (sp?!) practically rotted my teeth on contact, but man it was tasty! at one point my bro and i lost my mom and her friend - we spent about 25 minutes looking for each other before we were happily reunited. my mom told us she saw a police officer and said to him "i've lost my children!" to which he replied "how old are they?" my mom laughed as she said that she told him they were 20 and 23. i bet the officer doesn't hear that too often. we had a good laugh over it. :)

nine more days and summer school will be over my friends. nine days and counting. one more assignment and an exam to conquer and i will be free for a few weeks before heading back to ktown. whoo! i'm ready for it - so ready for it.

but get this - my final exam is the day after we move. how hectic is that?? hopefully everything works out and i'll be done most of the studying by saturday, but ya never know with these things.

anyways my dear friends, i gotta head. i hear an assignment calling my name. "finish me!" it's saying. i'd better go.
